This was the final of the 2021/22 U18 "Rheinland-Meisterschaften" (part of the state's best-of-eight tournament). There were two games earlier in the day in which both the top seeds won easily, setting up this final. It ended up being a tough game between two good teams, and while Koblenz did prevail, both teams do move on to the state's final four championship tournament, on 2/27/2022 ("Rheinland-Pflaz Meisterschaften").
Koblenz did go on to eventually win the state championships (U18 Rheinland-Pfalz Meisterschaften), as well as the next round (U18 Operliga Meisterschaften) that included teams from the state of Saarland
